I am also minoring in Music Industry and Psychology and am hoping to do research on music as medicine. While at school, I am working on recording and releasing a body of work that blends genres such as pop, indie, rock, and folk. When I’m not writing songs or on stage, I love exploring the city, ice skating, and fashion! I am excited to help rising musicians with piano or voice lessons, college applications/essay editing, curating music portfolios, audition preparation, songwriting, understanding music theory, and tips and tricks for being a DIY independent artist and performer. Mila M.
Hi! I’m Mila, a singer/artist with passions in artist development, creative writing, activism, and all things performance. I’m currently at the USC Thornton School of Music, in the Popular Music program (Voice) with a minor in Music Industry. I’ve lived in coastal Northern California my whole life, and will always know it as home, even when I make the official move to L.A. after college. I specialize in vocal technique/coaching, beginner to intermediate music theory, live performance guidance, audition preparation, college portfolio curation + essay editing/instruction, and piano. As an artist, my sound blends soul, funk, jazz, and folk, as I explore ways to fuse my favorite influences with my own creative voice. When I’m not singing or making music, you’ll find me surfing my favorite NorCal beaches (Bolinas!), reading, hanging out in the sun, or scribbling lyrics and personal essay ideas. Whether you’re looking for lessons, have a question, or want to swap song recs, feel free to reach out!

Remi B.
Hey! I’m Remi Baker, a New York City based artist. I’m currently studying Recorded and Live Music at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute, where I’m taught the full scope of what becoming a full-time artist looks like, from performing in iconic NYC venues to engineering my own studio sessions to handling business for yourself. So there’s lots of knowledge I’m happy to pass on in the areas of: Songwriting, Voice and Vocal Technique, Beginner to Advanced Music Theory, Guitar, Piano, Producing/Engineering in ProTools and Logic, as well as getting college apps together like Helping Build Portfolios or Reading and Editing Essays. A little bit about myself… I make all kinds of music, but I love the intersection of folk and jazz. I could eat strawberries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My favorite spot is sunbathing in Washington Square Park reading or watercolor painting. I’d love to help in whatever way I can, or just chat about music, college, or life.

Theory can be pretty daunting at first, but I’m all about finding specific and individual ways to get it clicking in your brain. Besides theory, I love performing, writing, arranging, and producing music. Hope to hear from you soon!
